Is it legal to purchase a new car through Europe?

Yes. Under Article 85 of the Treaty of Rome it stipulates that you as a private person or company of any E.E.C member country have the legal right to purchase any goods anywhere within the community at the most advantageous price. At present the E.E.C Commission is actively monitoring the various manufacturers to make sure they comply with the law and do not impose any illegal obstacles in the way of buyers.
